Join us for a hands-on mushroom inoculation workshop that invites participants to learn how fungi support healthy soils, woodlands, and food systems. Through direct, hands-on experience, we explore the quiet but essential role mushrooms play in nutrient cycling and ecological resilience as we teach you how to innoculate your own mushroom logs.
Participants of all ages will work together to inoculate cut logs with mycelium, learning how fungi function as essential partners in healthy ecosystems. Guided by an experienced teacher, the workshop covers the basics of log selection, inoculation, and sealing, along with the ecological role mushrooms play in nutrient cycling and soil health.
This workshop is designed for beginners and families. No prior experience is required.
Participants will take home their own inoculated log to continue growing their own edible mushrooms at home.
Please meet at the MCRA Office.
Children 18 under free with participating adult.
