PERFORMANCE ART IN THE GARDENS | 9 am - 3 pm | 10 am - Noon | 1 pm - 3 pm

KC AERIAL ARTS | 10 am - Noon | 1 pm - 3 pm

  • Experience the sights and sounds of spring at Powell Gardens with performances by KC Aerial Arts located within the Dogwood Walk and the Dennis & Annette Young Magnolia Walk 

CANDICE HILL | 10 am - Noon | 1 pm - 3 pm

  • As you journey through Painted Garden, don’t forget to listen for percussionist and steel pan performer Candice Hill located by the Rose Peninsula near the Conifer Garden 

PAINT OUT WITH SUMMIT ART | 9 am - 3 pm

  • Known as plein air art (open air art), watch as local artists bring the Powell Gardens landscape to life in real time.
  • Art will be judged by Powell Gardens Staff and a winner will be announced between 2:30 pm - 3 pm
    • Selected artwork will become a part of Powell Gardens’ art collections.

VIP TICKETS

  • For an exclusive experience, choose our VIP option that includes:
    • A special viewing area located on the east balcony
    • Two complimentary drinks
    • Sweet & savory charcuterie boards 

 

After a long winter, Powell Gardens welcomes Painted Garden!

Celebrate the joy and color spreading across the Gardens with inventive botanical displays, spring blooms, and works of art. Rooted in Kansas City’s art community with new work by Kate Clements and returning favorites by local artists, Powell Gardens invites you to imagine the garden as a gallery this spring.

Powell Gardens’ summer exhibit, Fortopia, features forts designed by the community. Each fort taps into childhood memories of outdoor discovery. 

 

Today's Garden Closures:

  • Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel will be closed from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel will be closed from 3:00 pm - Close
  • Missouri Barn will be closed from 1:00 pm - Close

 

TICKET POLICY

By purchasing ticket(s) you understand and agree to the following: 

  • Online advanced purchase is recommended.
  • Upon arrival, have your eTickets ready to be scanned at the Visitor Center.
  • Your eTickets will display the time the Gardens open. You are not required to arrive at that specific time, but be sure to arrive with enough time to enjoy the Gardens prior to closing at 5:00pm. 
  • MEMBERS:
    • Members are required to purchase admission tickets for this Special Event Day, but a Member Discount is available.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. Powell Gardens is an outdoor rain, snow, or shine experience.
  • Tickets are exchangeable. Tickets can be exchanged for any other General Admission date, including exhibitions. (Tickets cannot be exchanged for Festivals or Signature Events.) Email frontdesk@powellgardens.org with your Order #, your desired exchange date, and a valid call back phone number.
  • You are opting-in to receive our newsletter. To unsubscribe from our newsletter, click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any Powell Gardens email.
  • Photography Waiver:
    • When visiting Powell Gardens, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recordings may occur. By entering the premises, you consent to your image and likeness being used and published, without compensation, for advertising and promotional purposes. You voluntarily release Powell Gardens from any liability regarding any such publication, whether now known or hereafter devised, on account of such usage.   • Release of Liability:
    • Agreement to Follow Directions. I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by employees, representatives or agents of Powell Gardens.

I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and (if applicable) my family members, and further release and discharge Powell Gardens for injury, loss or damage arising out of my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of Powell Gardens, whether caused by the fault of myself, my family, Powell Gardens or other third parties.
    • Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and defend Powell Gardens against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of Powell Gardens.
