Steve brings decades of experience working with cattle and a common-sense approach grounded in observation, studying the fundamentals, and years of putting ideas to the test on the ranch.
A Common-Sense Approach to Cattle
Steve has been around cattle in one capacity or another since the age of ten. In 1999, while recovering from a ranching injury, he experienced what he describes as an “epiphany” that changed the direction of his work.
Since then, Steve has devoted himself to learning about the interconnected health of soil, plants, animals, and people. His studies have taken him through old agricultural texts, conversations with leading ranchers worldwide, and decades of conferences and educational opportunities.
He has taken those principles back to his own ranch, testing what works in the real world and using what he has learned to help other producers improve their cattle and their operations.
Steve believes there is no one-size-fits-all formula for raising cattle profitably. Every ranch has different resources, environments, goals, and challenges, which is why his approach is truly “Tailor-Made”.
